How to release your BlackBerry Pin

This tutorial shows you how to release your BlackBerry Pin number.

Basically any carrier can do this for you, this tutorial is for you to do it by yourself without needing to call customer service and wait for them to do.

Please proceed at your own risk.

Let’s say your carrier is ATT&T. In order for this to work you will need another account (anyone’s account) for it to work. Let’s call your PIN X and the other account’s PIN Y.

Pin X – Your Current Account

Pin Y – Other Account You’re Using

Step 1

Sign in to your AT&T Internet Service Manager, in this case located at http://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=mycingular using your PIN Y account. At the top left hand side you will notice a Change Device link. Select it and enter your PIN X (Current PIN) At the IMEI/ESN/MEID field and click SAVE.

Step 2

Wait until PIN X receives an “Email account information” from activation server which belongs  to PIN Y.

After finishing step 2, PIN X is now registered to the account that belongs to PIN Y and PIN Y has no BIS account.

Step 3

After receiving the proper emails, you’ll have to repeat Step 1 one more time to have PIN X released out of any carrier by entering PIN Y into the device pin bar and PIN Y IMEI in the device IMEI/ESN/MEID field and click Save. Wait until PIN Y receives the Email account information from Activation server.

After finishing step 3, PIN X is now free and PIN Y is back to normal.

Enjoy! you’re all set.
